The Kildall Agency, the oldest and largest independent agency specializing in Mariners professional insurance (popularly known as “license insurance”), was established in 1938 by one of the Pacific Northwest’s best known and most respected maritime families.

For over 60 years the Kildall Navigation School, founded by this seafaring Seattle clan in 1926, sent forth trained professionals to man every type of commercial vessel flying the U.S. flag.

Tom Kildall, who has headed the agency since 1980, represents the fourth generation to insure livelihoods and professional reputations of American mariners.

Today the Kildall Agency insures individual licensed mariners and certified tankerman employed aboard every kind of vessel found in the U.S. and Canadian maritime industries. Kildall also insures a variety of groups including ferry systems, pilot groups, civil, international maritime corporations, charter boats, fishing vessels, tall ships, tug and barge, casino boats, tankers, supply vessels, vessel assist, cruise vessels and mariner organizations.
